Seriously?

Here's something fun: today, the My Favorite Things girls are taking a look back at some of MFT's Greatest Hits. We're using sets that have been released for a while now and are needing fresh ink and some good ol' TLC. Visit the MFT blog anytime after 11 am EST for a list of designers posting Greatest Hits.

I've put together the main image from Call Me (check out the Bubble Bin for great steals and deals on this and many other MFT sets!) and a sentiment from the oh-so-fun Twisted Threesome (currently out of stock). I stamped in Memento ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils. The thought bubble around the sentiment was done by hand. The designer papers are Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety, and the Kraft card stock, ribbon, and buttons are from Papertrey.

And a peek at the inside, which includes one of the sentiments from Call Me:

How about a good "seriously" story to accompany today's card? During a cold snap on Wednesday, we discovered that our heating unit wasn't working. The repair man came out yesterday afternoon, only to discover that the power switch to the unit was off. The switch is mounted on the unit about thigh-high, which is, oh, pretty much eye level for a curious toddler.

Seriously, we called in for service without checking first?
Seriously, $95 for that???
Seriously, can I handcuff the kid for life?

It's good to dust off old sets, isn't it? Love your card - and story, although I wish it had a happier ending like the service guy waived the charge!

Great card Amy! I love this set!

We had the same thing happen to us about 2 years ago with our furnace too (why do they put those switches there anyways?!) Now- it's the first thing I check BEFORE we turn the furnace on for the winter :) The joys of motherhood eh?!

Oh no, Amy!! I guess it's better than a $200+ bill for it REALLY being broken...maybe. haha.

Awesome card, as always!

And... I so SERIOUSLY get your post. Ugh. And apparently age doesn't seem to help them get it either, as Brianna decided to bleach her jeans (on her bedroom CARPET) and then wondered why they shredded when she washed them.

Me encantan los sellos que utilizas, super simpáticos, pero perfectos en la coloracion y la combinacion de los papeles y detalles.
Preciosa esta tarjeta.

Love the card but Seriously they couldn't wave the fee?!? Its not like his Gas was all that expensive to justify $95!

Gorgeous richly coloured card Amy! Love it!
Too bad about the $95.00 service charge, but, I have a story too...
two years ago our AC unit was not working. It was May. It was in the 90's (we are in Austin), service guy came and we discovered that a rodent had eaten the wires outside. Shocking and yucky!

Great card and a great story too :-DDD
Don't worry, we also called the video service man only to discover salt sticks stuffed inside. Still cheaper than refurnishing the kitchen, in fear of our younger one blowing the home up when he reached the gas cooker height :-))
Kids are seriously the dearest things in out lives :-)))

GORGEOUS Amy! (As usual!) I love how you've done the scallop and the main panel in the same colour. I wouldn't have thought of that, but it looks FAB. Your colouring is amazing, oh so much to aspire to!!

Love your story about your little one, why don't we think to check the little things lol

That deleted comment above is mine. My daughter hadn't signed out of her google account on my pc. That's what happens when they get older, they play with your grown up things!

Oh goodness! I just inked that stamp the other day and started to colour the image but didn't finish! You've inspired me to get on that this weekend when I get home! GREAT dp choices too!

Amy, there are so many things I love about this post. First and foremost, your talent. Another great design. I love everything about it. Second, I love the fact that MFT is going back to use some older sets. One thing that annoys me sometimes while blogging is that we spend so much time promoting NEW releases that so many sets or stamps we previously acquired go unloved. We are all so busy trying to "keep up". The pace gets too frantic sometimes (for me), it frustrates me, so I "drop" back from the race and just observe. The third thing I love about this post is your humor. Your story made me laugh out loud, although I know at the time it so was not funny. Somehow you tied everything into a fabulous card to share. Hope you understand I wasn't venting on you, I love you!(until next time) TFS!

I'm snickering over your story Amy, My DH and FIL JUST did this last month with the Coffee Pot... yes it cost us over $100 to replace the Bunn Coffee pot that wasn't heating water anymore... yep! There's a button on that sucker to turn it off when gone for extended periods of time!!! LMAO SO... know anyone that needs ANOTHER coffee pot??? Of course FIL (coffe drinkin fool) thinks having 2 going at once is "perfect" NOT!!!!!

I SO wanna know how you made the inside half circley thingies???? That is ROCKIN AWESOME!!!!
