Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop

It’s the 8th of the month –Blog Hop time from REVERSE CONFETTI! Last month’s release was full of holiday magic as well as some gorgeous everyday sentiments. As we look forward to the holidays, it’s now time to start thinking of those small gifts, tags, treats, or just sweet notes of encouragement to spread the “Merry” to our friends, family and coworkers. The Confetti Crew and a few other pals have designed some great cards and projects to give you just the creative spark you’ll need to make some of your very own RC magic happen!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Angelica Suarez's blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

For today's card, I combined two of the newest stamp sets: Bring on the Merry and Be A Barista.I also used the larger Tag Me die on the Merry Christmas sentiment panel (I just trimmed off the top). The papers are from Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks line.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the snowflakes are actually rusted metal snowflakes that I "frosted" with some Frosted Lace Stickles. I also added a snowy look around the edges of the panels using some Martha Stewart glitter.

The layout is this month's Sketch For You To Try:

November Card Kitchen Cards

My November Card Kitchen cards were shared on The Card Kitchen blog earlier this month, but I forgot to post them here. The November kit is filled with goodies from Jillibean Soup's fun Christmas Cheer Chowder line, plus embellishments and lovelies from other awesome manufacturers.

My friend June (at Simply Elegant Paper Crafts) and I were chatting the other day about how much we like designing with kits. It's so easy to be super productive when the papers and embellishments have all been carefully coordinated for you! If you've never tried working with a kit (card or scrapbooking), I'd encourage you to give one a try!

Happy Holidays
A few accordian-fold rosettes behind some Jillibean Soup Christmas Cheer Chowder Pea Pods (die-cuts) gives this card some fun extra dimension.

HO HO HO, Making A List
I rolled some paper around a bamboo skewer, scroll-style, to make Santa's list. Below is a detail shot:

'Tis the Season
So many awesome die-cuts in the Christmas Cheer Chowder Pea Pod Parts -- the three ornaments and the word "JOY," plus a ton more! This kit also contains a 12x12 Jillibean Soup Place Mats (Red Merry Frames), which is a fabulous collection of Polaroid-style frames.

Merry Christmas
I used the red pearls included in the kit as ornaments for the adorable snowflake trees. Also, check out that darling tree clip from Maya Road.

December 25
These merry elves (more Pea Pod Parts die-cuts) are just adorable! Not the chevron kraft bag in the background -- perfect for layering and/or holding a gift card!

Merry
Love the turquoise "fa la la" background pattern (Jillibean Soup) and the adorable wooden snowflake button (Bella Boulevard). The snow globe and the word "MERRY" are still more Pea Pod Parts.

Peace
Lots of wonderful kit elements on this card. The word "peace" is from Jillibean Soup's Wise Words sticker collection; the deer are die-cuts from the Pea Pod Parts; and I've used two of the three ribbons in this kit. Also, see that green striped rectangle with the red label peeking out from behind the blue circle? It's one of the 3x4 Bite Size Bits in the Christmas Cheer Chowder line.

Special Delivery
Maybe my favorite card this month because of the spunky pink background and the chevron bag!

Just A Note To Say ...

I recently did a huge paper purge that included going through years of various monthly scrapbooking kits. I've subscribed to one kit or another for the better part of the past seven years, so there were a lot of remains to sift through, plus a few kits that admittedly hadn't been touched at all. Most of the embellishments had already been removed from the kits and stored with their kind in various places throughout my studio, but I did stumble upon a few random items, including a fabulous acetate film strip. I love it, and couldn't wait to incorporate it into today's card!

The felt stem is also an oldie-but-goodie, from Prima I believe. I threw in a ticket strip and some torn vellum for an eclectic look. The sentiment, from Reverse Confetti's new and fabulous LOTS TO SAY set, is stamped on a label die-cut, also an old kit remnant. Kind of nice to put some forgotten things to good use! In fact, the background paper, from Jillibean Soup, is the only new/current thing on the card.

Here's a closer look:

Reverse Confetti: November Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the REVERSE CONFETTI New Release Blog hop! Could it be November already? With this month’s new release from REVERSE CONFETTI  it’ll be a snap to get a jump start on those holiday cards and projects (yep, Christmas is just around the corner!).

Lucky for you, it’s the 8th of the month, and we’ve got some inspiration to get you going with that very thing! Come and hop along with the Confetti Crew as we share some creative ideas using all the new products from REVERSE CONFETTI  including five new trendy stamp sets and introducing CONFETTI CUTS. That’s right, we now carry steel dies, and there are 2 sets to choose from this month.

Along with the Confetti Crew and our new CHALLENGE Crew, we’ve also invited some extra friends to join in on the action! Let’s go!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Angelica Suarez’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets!

For my project, I created some birthday treat packaging using the fabulous new SWEET TREAT TENT and TAG ME Confetti Cuts dies along with LOTS TO SAY and SO STRIPEY stamp sets.

The small tag is the baby sister of the larger tag size I used earlier in the week. Both are included in the TAG ME die set! I've stamped the tag with one of the SO STRIPEY images. On the banner, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from LOTS TO SAY. The little letters in the word "happy" fit in a 1/4" circle punch.

How about all those awesome stripes in SO STRIPEY? What a great set for building background patterns!

I've filled this SWEET TREAT TENT with a small bag of candy, but couldn't help noticing the width of the package is just bigger than the width of dollar bills. I can't wait to play around with creative ways to insert some gold old-fashioned cashola in these -- maybe a wallet of sorts inside, or a bundle of rolled up bills.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to SARAH GOUGH'S BLOG. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

Countdown to Confetti: Lots to Say

Welcome to Day Three of Reverse Confetti's new release peeks! Today, we're featuring a fabulous new sentiment set called LOTS TO SAY. I adore the fonts and the large sizes of these must-have sentiments!

The vellum layer was inspired by THIS Monika Davis original. Hard to see all the details in the photos, but I splattered on some white acrylic paint, adhered some clear gems in varying sizes, and then added some clear glaze droplets for a kind of water drop look.

Be sure to head over to the Reverse Confetti blog for links to all of today's peeks. There's a $15 gift card up for grabs, too. For your chance to win, leave a comment on each sneak post for each designer. Comments will close at noon today, and the winner will be announced at 5pm. Good luck!

Want another chance to win? Head on over to the Reverse Confetti Faebook page and look for the "Comment to Win" thread.

Enjoy today's peeks, and see you again tomorrow for our blog hop new release wrap-up!

Countdown to Confetti: Be A Barista

It's Day Two of Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti, and today's featured set is BE A BARISTA, a coffee/tea set with a fun, unique twist.

The fun twist is that there are different filler images for your cup, a plain one plus three latte foam designs - SO clever! I went with a tea card today, and therefore a plain filler plus the sweet little tea bag. Here's a closer look:

The sentiments are curved to fit perfectly around the top of the cup image, but they also fit nicely onto the fishtail bottom of the new TAG ME die (the large tag). I've also added a light yellow stripe detail from one of the images in SO STRIPEY:
